NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The Mayor and Council of the City of Cleveland wish to retain the current millage rate of 5.056.
However, since the rollback rate is lower than the proposed millage rate – in order to maintain the millage rate to 5.056 mills – state law requires the City of Cleveland to advertise, announce a potential tax increase, and hold three (3) public hearings. The 2023 Tax Digest and the 5-year History will be reviewed during the hearings.
The Mayor and Council of the City of Cleveland work to keep the City of Cleveland’s millage rate as low as possible while providing the necessary services to the ever-growing population and want to stress that their intent is to retain the current millage rate of 5.056.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this tax increase to be held at the Cleveland Community Center/Police Department, 342 Campbell Street Cleveland GA. on July 20, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. and on July 28, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
