Occupational Tax License
Each business, within the city limits, is required to apply for a Cleveland Occupational Tax License. The license is renewed annually and due by January 1 of each year.

S.A.V.E. FORM - Systematic Alien Verification Entitlement - required by law and must be signed in the presence of a notary. The form must be submitted with the occupational tax license application.
E-Verify - Verify employment eligibility. U.S. law requires companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States – either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization. The form must be submitted with the occupational tax license application and signed in the presence of a notary.
At this time, if you have ten or more employees, you are required to have a E-Verify Number for reporting purposes. For more information regarding this requirement please go to https://www.uscis.gov/e-verify
