City of Mountain Breezes
Cleveland, Georgia.

Events, held within the city limits, are required to have prior approval and a special events permit.

A coordinator or producer of an event is required to give the city 30 days notice for review of the application.  This allows the city to process the application and to forward to police, fire, and public works departments for comments.

Street closures are approved by the Mayor and City Council.  State Route closures will also require Georgia Department of Transportation approval.

Groups of three or less are welcomed to express their 1st amendment rights without obtaining a permit.  Larger groups are required to obtain a permit due to the possible need of police and fire safety.

Groups from outside White County wanting to collect funds within the city will be required to submit an affidavit from a local church or civic group that such funds will benefit the citizens of Cleveland and White County, Georgia.

Those wanting to hold yard sales on commercial properties must obtain a special events permit.  There is a $25.00 fee for this event.  A permit is not required for residential yard sales for residents of the city.

Please Note:  The use of Freedom Park requires two permits - approval from the White County Board of Commissioners and approval from the City of Cleveland.  Please contact the White County Board of Commissioners at 706-865-2235 to reserve Freedom Park.
