On June 22, 2022, the City of Cleveland had a 6” water main break at the following locations:

Green St., Cox Creek, Quillian St (at intersection of Green St & Boulevard), Boulevard, Bob White Circle, Mountain Overlook, Townview, Pinecrest Circle, Pinecrest Lane, and Lunsford Lane. To make proper repairs, the City Public Works Department had to shut off the water supply to the line.  This affected City of Cleveland water customers located in the Green St., Cox Creek, Quillian St (at intersection of Green St & Boulevard), Boulevard, Bob White Circle, Mountain Overlook, Townview, Pinecrest Circle, Pinecrest Lane, and Lunsford Lane area of the city’s water service area.

Due to this main break and repair, the City issued a boil water notice to the local media via White County News Telegraph and WRWH AM 1350 for the affected customers.  The notice was posted at City Hall and on the city’s website at www.cityofclevelandga.org.  The notice is required by the EPD.  This notice is to insure the safety of the drinking water to the city’s customers in the event of the possibility of a contaminant entering the system.
