When is my bill due?
Current Bills are due upon receipt but no later than the 15th of the month to avoid penalties. Late Bills are due immediately.
What is the 'Late Fee' on my bill and can I be disconnected for non-payment?
If payment is not received by the due date, a 10% penalty will be added to the latest amount billed. Failure to receive the bill does not waive penalty charges. If payments are posted to the account by the due date you will not be assessed late charges.
If the utility bill is not paid by the end of the month, your utility service may be disconnected for non-payment. To regain service you must first pay all outstanding utility bills plus a $50.00 disconnect/reconnect fee. There is an additional $110.00 fee for tampering with the meter.
What if my check is returned by the bank?
Returned checks will cancel the utility payment and result in a handling fee (currently twenty- five ($25) dollars) and applicable late charges.
