The Cleveland Police Department takes allegations of employee misconduct very seriously. Employees, who are determined to be guilty of misconduct, are subject to disciplinary action in the form of reprimands, suspensions, termination from employment, and/or criminal prosecution. Therefore, it is important that all complainants and witnesses take the allegations of employee misconduct seriously.
Anyone wishing to file a complaint should do so in person. Complaints can be made with any supervisor at the Cleveland Police Department main office.
However, any citizen, who knowingly makes a false allegation in an official inquiry, such as an internal investigation, may be subject to a Grand Jury indictment and criminal prosecution for:

Cleveland GA: Established in 1857 and incorporated as a town August 18, 1870, Cleveland is the county seat of White County. The old White County courthouse and Museum houses the White County Historical Society. The courthouse, built between 1859 and 1860, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
