Specific type cases handled by the court include routine traffic offenses; driving under the influence of alcohol; possession of marijuana less than an ounce; nuisance and abatement cases; and city ordinance violations. If you received a citation in the city limits of Cleveland . . .

You may pay your fine at the Cleveland Municipal Court Clerk's Office, online, or by telephone 1-877-370-4650 and not appear in court to contest the citation as long as you do not have a must appear violation.  This will be considered a guilty plea and a waiver of your right to trial by Judge or Jury. All in office payments must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on your day of Court or you must appear at your set court time. Once you pay the fine, you do not have to appear in court. Your driving history will reflect a conviction for the offense(s) with which you were charged. The officer is not allowed to quote a fine amount.

You may call Cleveland Municipal Court 706-865-0058 during normal business hours or our automated system 1-877-370-4650 for your fine amount, court date and time. Some charges must appear and cannot be paid prior to your court appearance. Please allow three to five business days before calling for a fine amount. You may mail your fine to Cleveland Municipal Court along with the yellow copy of your citation signed on the back at the bottom if you received a hand written citation or if you received an electronic citation sign on the right hand side of the citation next to Signature of Accused. If you no longer have your copy of your citation you may print the Waiver of Rights Form and fill it out in place of your copy of your citation. Please mail your fine prior to your court date, to ensure it is received on time. The mailing address is: Cleveland Municipal Court, 85 South Main Street, Cleveland, Georgia 30528.

If you fail to pay your fine or appear in court, a bench warrant may be issued for your arrest and additional fees may be added to your fine.
