On September 29, 2012, plan to bring the family to the Northeast Georgia Mountains for the White County 5th Annual Agri-Fest/Country Market and the 2nd Annual Pottery Comes to Town Show and Sale. The event is held in downtown Cleveland in the parking lot and the vacant lot of the White County Courthouse.
The Agri-Fest and Country Market, hosted by the White County Chamber of Commerce, will feature vendors showing off and selling their wares. Visitors can expect to see basket weaving, canning, weaving, soap making, and various crafts from the most creative group of people in Georgia. You will also be able to stock up on plants and veggies from our local farmers.
For more information about the event or if you want to participate as a vendor, please contact the White County Chamber of Commerce at 706-865-5356 or check out the Chamber's site at www.whitecountychamber.org
The events of the day will also include the 2nd Annual Pottery Comes to Town Show and Sale with folk potters from the southeast. This is the second year the event has been hosted by the White County Historical Society. This talented group of people, recruited by the White County Historical Society, will be making pottery and conducting pottery demonstrations. Most of the items will be for sale. White County is the home of the Meaders family, so we know our pottery. The Meaders family, along with other potters, will be well represented.
